MULL IT OVER was a series of three performed actions in the gallery space, highlighting typical physical relationships to gallery spaces and to artworks. Taking place at the Whitworth as a collaboration between LEGROOM and the Whitworth Young Contemporaries, the performance responded to questions around the gallery space and democracy.
Manipulating the unspoken rules of the gallery allows the almost ritualistic qualities of communal viewing environments to be deconstructed. The work is often ironic and playful, lingering on the boundaries of the performative spectacle and everyday action. LEGROOM will move through the 3 sections of the work at moments also joined by members of the always shifting LEGROOM_COMPANY.
