Book a timed ticket in advance

Timed tickets are required to enter our galleries for both the free collections and paid exhibitions.

All visitors, including Members, Patrons, Supporters and Corporate Partners, need to book online in advance.

Follow the one-way routes

One-way routes and safe distancing guidelines are in place throughout the galleries.

Prepare for a bit more walking than usual. You can find access information on each gallery page

Pay with card

We only accept card or contactless payments in the gallery to minimise touchpoints.

There are also protective screens in place at all desks.

Extra safety measures

All visitors are required to wear face coverings in our galleries, apart from those who are exempt.

Hand sanitiser is available in key areas, along with increased cleaning regimes in toilets and other high use areas.

  • Routes will include the option to visit one of our shops. Face coverings are mandatory in the shops
  • There will be an opportunity to buy food and drink
  • Toilets remain open with increased cleaning regimes

  • All cloakrooms and lockers are currently closed and so please avoid bringing bulky coats or bags

  • Items larger than cabin bag size (55cm x 40cm x 20cm) are not permitted in the galleries

Help us keep you safe

When you visit, please keep your distance from others and follow the one-way route you have booked. Act on any guidance our team may give you and use the hand sanitiser provided along with washing your hands regularly. All visitors are required to wear face coverings in our galleries, apart from those who are exempt. Not all exemptions are visible so please be understanding of others.

Most importantly if you are feeling unwell please stay at home.
