Get Involved spent time working with artist Peter Griffiths. They then commissioned him to make a digital animation, that was installed at their COLLABOR-8 event in February 2014. The animation was projected onto a bed and related objects – and made up one part of a set up bedroom installation in Nottingham Contemporary’s Space.
The idea behind the animation was based on research the young creator’s carried out at the end of 2013. Asking young people in Nottingham what they felt inspired them to be creative, from watching cartoons to dance competitions, and encouraging them to fill in a ‘creative wheel’ diagram with all of their thoughts. The group then analysed the data from over 100 creativity wheels and picked out key groups of activity that they then put forward to Griffiths as suggestions and animated.
