Circuit: National Manager, Tate

I lead the implementation of Tate’s national young people’s programme working with all Tate sites and five Plus Tate partner galleries. Circuit is a change programme aiming to effect sustainable shifts in practice across cultural organisations, youth and community sectors. It places young people’s culture and voice at the core of development and delivery.

Previously I have led several high-profile national programmes, including: the Department for Education and Arts Council England’s ‘Cultural Passport’ initiative and the strategic, commercial and academic design and launch of two new arts qualifications for young people, Arts Award Discover and Arts Award Explore, for Trinity College London.

My focus has always been on young people and the arts, and effecting individual and organisational change. Through redesign of strategy, curriculum, business and management models, with experience of mentoring, coaching and partnership development. I have worked for nearly twenty years in schools, community, youth, gallery, museum, heritage and charity settings, as both project manager and digital artist. My current interests include how artists and gallery collections reflect or contribute to social change.
